Social Security question?

  • Posted on August 13, 2011 at 12:03 am

I recently filled out a credit application at a private dealership on a car that I won on eBay. I have already tried getting the car financed through my local Credit Union but they could not get me financed because of the cars age (2002 Civic Ex). I am still a student (Freshman in College) and I am looking for a car to get to school which is why I cannot pay cash in full.

The reason why I placed my bid on eBay was because the representative from my Credit Union told me that it would not be a problem to get me financed since it is of low amount. The credit union calls me the day after I won the auction and tells me that I cannot get financed.

I explained all of this to the gentleman at the private dealership and he let me know I can try to get financed through him. He calls me a day later saying that I cannot get financed

My concern is I put my SS # on the Credit application and I am very concerned that since I did not purchase the car I won on eBay, he will reveal my SS #. I know with larger dealership this is unlikely, but this private dealership in the dangerous part of Los Angeles makes me really worried. The man at the dealership was really upset and he was being really rude to me…..I am just afraid he will give my Social away.

Input is appreciated.

Where Can I Sell My Hair In San Diego, Ca?

  • Posted on August 11, 2011 at 4:50 am

I’ve been looking and calling many places, and everyone is just a distributor of wigs/extensions. Even if it’s a place around the San Diego Area, Like Riverside, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Imperial County, Mexico… I would like to know where these places are so I can sell. Google isn’t helping much either haha. So I can only assume that these types of sales aren’t advertised to avoid flooding the market.

I am putting things like eBay and other auction sites to the side for the moment, as I hope to find somewhere I can just "go to", you know what I mean?

Any help will be much appreciated!!! Thank you for your time.

(Note: As nice as it is, I’m not considering donating to Locks of Love, YET. I have already looked at the application process for L.o.L. and will donate if I don’t get a good reference for selling my hair. Thank you! :D )
Please read the note I left about Locks Of Love!!

How can the US give 20 million illegals amnesty & the dream act when this country is going broke?

In Arizona, a cash-pinched legislature put the Capitol building up for sale, proposing to lease it back for state use. In the small Colorado town of Colorado Springs, officials shut off half the street lamps and one-third of the traffic lights, told residents who wanted short grass in public parks to bring their own lawnmowers, and auctioned off a police helicopter on eBay. Around the country, libraries have been shuttered, after-school programmes have been curtailed, mental health services have been decimated.

In Los Angeles, the nation’s second largest metropolis, the Democratic mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa, addressed a full session of the city council on 9 February to detail just how grim the city’s finances had become. Miguel Santana, the city administrative officer (the CAO is the mayor and council’s chief financial adviser) had recently informed the mayor’s office that LA was facing a 0m shortfall through the end of this financial year and another half billion dollar-plus shortfall in the years to come if it didn’t radically, and rapidly, restructure its budget. Santana didn’t mince words. His nearly 300-page report (pdf) opened with this stark warning:
The job losses are adding to LA’s already great economic pain – the city has a more than 11% unemployment rate; even with progressives occupying key positions in the city’s political leadership, the evisceration of core public services will, over the years to come, impact the quality of life of most Angelenos; and the privatisation of venues such as the zoo and the convention centre will harm the city’s long-term ability to raise sufficient revenue to meet its growing needs.

Today’s installment of the “Adventures of Octomom” has Nadya Suleman being offered million and free medical and dental insurance for her and her brood – if she stars in multiple porn videos.

Vivid Entertainment, the world’s largest peddler of adult flicks, has just fired off a letter to the serial mom asking her to consider becoming a contract “Vivid Girl” (like Jenna Jameson) and starring in a few X-rated flicks, TMZ.com reports.

In other news, Nadya told TV shrink Dr. Phil McGraw that she’s worried that the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in California won’t release her eight newborn babies to her. (See first “Octomom” installment, above)

“If you don’t have a plan in place you need to say so, so we can help . . . People need to know you get it,” Dr. Phil said at one point during an interview with Suleman during yesterday’s show.

“I think I’ll fully get it when they are ready to come home,” she responded.

Later, Dr. Phil told the Los Angeles Times: “What she is telling me is that unless and until she has a better living arrangement, that they are not likely to release the children to her.”

And this is a bad thing?

Suleman, 33, a single mother who already had six children before giving birth to octuplets Jan. 26, lives in Southern California with her mother in a three-bedroom house that is slated to be auctioned off next week. The mother owes more than ,000 in back payments, a source told US Weekly .

What entitlement do I have to relocation assistance in the event that my landlord is terminating my lease?

  • Posted on August 7, 2011 at 4:53 pm

My roommate has been renting our house for 8 years and I have been renting here for 4. The owner passed away a couple of years ago and we were told(orally) a few months ago that the house was going to go up for sale. It’s a single family, 4 bedroom house in Los Angeles with no other units on the property. We were served with a 30 termination of lease(citing civil code789) notice and shortly thereafter a sign went up on the front of the house stating it would be sold via Probate Auction. Are we eligible for relocation assistance since this does not fall under "Just Cause" for eviction? Also, aren’t we entitled to 60 days notice pursuant to civil code 1946.1 as we have been tenants for longer than a year?
I take that back. It isn’t a single family house alone on the property. There is a garage and basement at the bottom of the house that was converted into a 1 bedroom apartment(Kitchen, full bath, bedroom, living room and separate entrance). It doesn’t have it’s own address, it shares utilities(1 set of meters on the house) and I’m not even sure if the unit is permitted. It’s unoccupied if that matters.
Thanks for the quick response! I could be mistaken but In the city of Los Angeles, it is my understanding that the tenants are protected from termination of lease by the "Just Cause" laws(JCEC). Meaning that termination/evicition for anything that falls outside of illegal activity in the unit, not paying rent, destruction of the property, etc. is grounds for relocation assistance. At least this is my interpretation of the legal jargon.

Expand the Municipal code(hit the "+"), chapter XV, Article 1, Sect 151.09:

Thanks Mr. Placid. Actually, the RSO(Rent Control) applies to any property with two or more units:

http://www.lafla.org/pdf/hou_rentcontrol_eng.pdf

This is why I mentioned the one bedroom apt downstairs. Does anyone know if this has to be registered with the city to apply in my case or will my lease that mentions the downstairs unit being separate suffice? Thanks!

I ordered something on Ebay and now the seller is no longer registered?

  • Posted on August 7, 2011 at 4:53 pm

I am freaking out right now.

I ordered a ps3 from some guy in los angeles,
he shipped out my playstation 3 already, giving me tracking info and all of that, but the very next day I go and check the auction, it says that he is no longer a registered user.

is he scamming me so that I can’t leave feedback? I still have paypal to complain to if the item is screwed, any advice would be so helpful
The package said it would ship march 8th (Today) but USPS has only been "notified" about it. But maybe the seller has shipped it and USPS hasn’t updated,

I filed a claim with Ebay just now

Where can I sell a large collection of vinatge posrcards in Los Angeles, other than using e-bay?

I don’t want to use an auction, I want to sell these as soon as possible. Is there a list of brokers/dealers/collectors in the Los Angeles area?

What Is This World Coming To …?

LOS ANGELES, Calif. —
A former TMZ photographer is suing Britney Spears over an incident in which his foot was run over.

Ricardo Mendoza filed a civil lawsuit in Los Angeles on Friday against the singer. The lawsuit claims that Spears negligently operated her car and committed assault and battery when she ran over his foot in Beverly Hills in October 2007.

Several media outlets picked up footage of the incident, including celebrity gossip site TMZ, where Mendoza worked at the time.

TMZ, which first reported the lawsuit, auctioned off his tire-stained sock and donated the proceeds to charity.

The incident happened during a turbulent period for Spears, who hours earlier had lost custody of her two sons. She has since regained visitation rights.

————————————————————————————————–

Hmmmmm … wonder what the "poor man" was doing so close to Britney’s car, huh? "Photographer"? Would that be his glorified little title for "Stalker-razzi"?

And, since the woman had just lost custody of her kids … he wouldn’t have just happened to be in the general vicinity of where she was trying to get out of the public eye, what? Sight-seeing?

Well. Guess if you can make a living out of provoking celebrities and profiting from law-suits whenever you catch them in a bad mood, (and the courts allow these "frivolous lawsuits"), I say … more power to the blood-suckers.
