How concerned are you that Octomom is in danger of losing her home?

"Los Angeles County property records indicate the home they live in went into mortgage default on Feb. 9 after non-payment for 10 months. The home in Whittier is owned by Angela Suleman, the grandmother of the octuplets.

The default notice shows Angela Suleman is ,225 behind in her mortgage payments and that the house could be sold at auction beginning May 5…"

Impound for forgotten ticket=susp lic, had resolved w/ police dept, etc, bank refuses to give car to owner now

  • Posted on August 14, 2011 at 2:25 am

A ticket was mistakenly not paid, car was impounded in Los Angeles. Son took care of all issues regarding an abstract and license renewal, was waiting for the DMV to receive abstract for a total of 11 impound days. On day 12, son went to Police Dept to obtain release from the impound and was informed the financier, Wachovia Bank, had arrived an hour beforehand and took vehicle. All payments on loan are current and insurance and registration free and clear. Bank would not return calls for 5 days or any information or how to obtain the car. After many calls, finally was told the bank would not release car, and would be selling it off at auction due to the impound. Would not give any possibility of paying them the tow fees back or even discuss other than their "impound is why we are taking the car." Were told by the bank legal department that the vehicle had been there over 30 days… clearly mistaken information. Have any idea what direction to head? CANNOT EVEN WORK W/O A CAR !

Octomom's mom facing foreclosure, will she still say no to welfare?

Los Angeles County property records show a notice of mortgage default was filed Feb. 9 against the home of Suleman’s mother, Angela Suleman, the station reported.

Angela Suleman is ,225 behind in her mortgage payments and the three-bedroom house could be sold at an auction beginning May 5, documents say.

Suleman has said that she was raising her six children in her mother’s home and planned to raise her newborn octuplets there.

News of the foreclosure is the latest twist in the tale of Suleman and her children.

Suleman, 33, had the octuplets through fertility treatments, despite being single and already having six young children and no clear source of income.

The television station could not reach Suleman or her mother for comment, because the phone number at the home had been disconnected.

This just gets better and better.

Social Security question?

  • Posted on August 13, 2011 at 12:04 am

I recently filled out a credit application at a private dealership on a car that I won on eBay. I have already tried getting the car financed through my local Credit Union but they could not get me financed because of the cars age (2002 Civic Ex). I am still a student (Freshman in College) and I am looking for a car to get to school which is why I cannot pay cash in full.

The reason why I placed my bid on eBay was because the representative from my Credit Union told me that it would not be a problem to get me financed since it is of low amount. The credit union calls me the day after I won the auction and tells me that I cannot get financed.

I explained all of this to the gentleman at the private dealership and he let me know I can try to get financed through him. He calls me a day later saying that I cannot get financed

My concern is I put my SS # on the Credit application and I am very concerned that since I did not purchase the car I won on eBay, he will reveal my SS #. I know with larger dealership this is unlikely, but this private dealership in the dangerous part of Los Angeles makes me really worried. The man at the dealership was really upset and he was being really rude to me…..I am just afraid he will give my Social away.

Input is appreciated.
