Thinking of auctioning my house instead of listing.?

Local market is overwhelmed with sellers. We need to sell due to divorce. I am myself a realtor and most of my fellow realtors don’t like to resort to auctions but I think they are just another marketing strategy that might work in this market.

Is it possible to sell things on e bay without auctioning them?ie flat fee only?

So Matt Murphy the 21 year old New Yorker announced today he is going to auction the 756th hr ball that Barry Bonds Hit. Will Matt still be getting taxed on the ball being auctioned and how will the taxes compare to what he could have received if he decided to keep the ball?
Judy if u read the articles online it states that he would have been taxed if he would have kept the ball. The whole reason he is selling it is because he CANT AFFORD to keep it.

i attended an estate auction on Ohio recently and was surprised when I was being outbid or was bidding against the auctioneer or one of his acution handlers. This didnt seem quite right to me. . .
Isn’t this a conflict of interest?
